I think I've mentioned before that I love cold weather... but rainy, wet, cold weather? Not so much. It's dreary and gross outdoors, and I'm done with it! I'd rather there be snow, because snow at least is white and fluffy and looks pretty. Rain, not so much.

Anywho... I managed to squeeze in a teeny tiny shop update today. I've been neglecting my shop like woah lately, and I really want to give it more attention, especially for the holidays. As I've said before, my shop photography "studio" just so happens to be my driveway, and it started to rain right in the middle of my clothing shoot... sooo, I only got a few things done.

However, the items I managed to take pictures of just so happen to be my favorites... I took a few of the sweaters out of my personal collection, mostly because they weren't getting worn often enough, which makes me sad. They need to have their very own shiny outfit moments!

Also, be sure to check out the Sale section if you haven't... I would L-O-V-E to completely clear that section out!

the christmas shopping pledge

I recently made the pledge (via Off of Broadway's gift pledge) to purchase only handmade, secondhand, or locally made gifts for Christmas. I've got a button and everything (see the pledge button to the right of my blog page)!! It was something that I tried to do last year, and although I sort of accomplished the goal, I don't think EVERYTHING was part of those three mentioned. I'm super excited about it, because I think that it will make the gift giving part of Christmas much more special.

I've already been getting caught up in the gift buying hoopla, freaking out about spending so much money, and I think this is a good way to calm down and chill out and simply enjoy the gift giving aspect of the holiday. Also, I've already found that there are SO MANY options out there that are affordable, and right on track with what I want to give this year. I've also decided to try and make a few gifts... I did quite a bit of that last year, and not only did I have tons of fun coming up with ideas and making things, but everyone seemed to truly like their homemade gift!

Here are a few Etsy things that have caught my eye recently... and to anyone reading this that I will be giving a gift (i.e. my sister, my mother, and Z), don't worry... these are only ideas!!

The ultra cool thing? All these items ring in at under $30 bucks!

Holy cow, long time no post! Sometimes I just don't have much to say... or post, so I just don't say anything at all! I am very happy for Friday. I have also been listening to Mates of State while making pizza dough. They make everything better (both MOS and pizza...in my opinion).

Sometimes, I also wish that I could sing and be the female counterpart to a super cool/funky husband-wife band. Someday... in between being a teacher and store owner... (Hear that Z? Better start brushing up on your keyboarding/guitar skills ASAP!)

I shall be back next week with fun stuff...I hope everyone has an amazing weekend ahead of them!
